Stress Free Holidays in Wine Tasting Country

Napa Valley is a great place to visit in November during the holidays if you are looking for a stress free getaway. You can enjoy walking through vineyards and wine tasting while learning how wine is made. A great winery to see is the Rubicon Estate Winery owned by filmmaker Francis Ford-Coppola. Coppola and his wife Eleanor purchased the property back in 1975 once known as the Niebaum’s Victorian home. Since then it has been renamed after its flagship wine Rubicon. The wine is organically grown on the property’s vineyards. The property is a must see even for those that are not looking to go wine tasting. Coppola has worked on restoring the property over the past 25 years, he has been purchasing all the vineyards that were once originally part of the estate. Make sure before you leave to stop by and see Coppola’s movie gallery where he displays some of his Oscar’s. Napa offers many things to do during the Thanksgiving holiday and most of it includes wine tasting, what a way to relax.

If you’re looking for some outdoor time you can visit Skyline Wilderness Park and enjoy hiking, horseback riding and biking. There is even camping available for those that want to really connect with the outdoors.

What's the name of the first California winery?
